Two By Two

In a few weeks, fall will be arriving.  It is a yeah – boo thing for me.  I love the time and warmth of summer, and my vacation.  Fall brings that wonderful chill in the air, golden aspens, and I am back in the classroom.

All of a sudden my Impatiens are blooming with a random unknown blooming among them.

I had a bit of fun – two cameras, two flowers, two different effects.

Practice

It was just fun.  Playing with Photoshop.  The program is absolutely amazing, so much you can do, and I know I have hardly even touched upon its abilities.

This photo is enhanced using the gradient map and a sepia tone filter.

Pasta

I am not a huge fan of pasta.  I like it, but will typically select something else to eat. Tonight was the cross-country team’s first pasta party.  It was fun – good food – funny conversations to be heard.

Hydrate…we run in the morning!

Where Does It Go?

Time.  It really is not mine right now.  I have been coaching cross-country runners and I started back to work today.  It is all good. Life is full speed. :)

Clearly the year is not 05-06, I just love this cross-country t-shirt.

Cookies

I have a list of things I need to get done.  Cross country has begun and school begins in a day or so.  So, I make cookies.  Yum!

When I grabbed my Canon I also saw that I need to charge up my battery – so this is a point n shoot shot.

Same Flowers…

I decided to play with my iphone a bit today.  I used the phone camera, as well as an app called Hipstamatic which is also on my phone.  The phone camera takes great photos so I just need to focus on the composition.  The app throws in its own effects!

Just fun :)

Want A Treat?

I say this phrase to my Golden’s at least twice a day.  It is part of our routine and we all know where it leads. ;)  Today I opened the treats shown below.  I believe the dogs could smell them from the other room.  They both came tearing into the kitchen and proceeded to sit patiently watching me get them each a little special something….ok, there was a little drool, but I love it!

*Note – this was quite special in that this is the second bag I have purchased for them.

Regality

As I looked through photos I had taken in Victor and Cripple Creek, these two surfaced.  The mine almost seemed regal as it overlooked the little mining town of Victor.  The flowers were probably planted in a random fashion…they were perfect.  I am looking forward to the Colorado fall….golden aspen…and a slight chill in the air. I am enjoying the flowers right now!

Spinner Of Thread

The title of this post is one definition of spinster.  The other is a female who has not married or is too old to marry.  I saw this sign and thought of how they played with the word.  The paint on the window frame struck me also – ;)

Holding On

I played with this shot a bit.  Black and white seemed to be the ticket.
